    Real quick question. Do both male and female red eyeds croak/chirp?

    The males are the ones who chirp. You will also notice that they have a flabbier throat when they are sitting around calling for the ladies.

    So the females don't chirp, at all? I just bought one after being told it was a female (its pretty big) but I have now heard him/her chirp a few times...
