Am so happy to report that I picked up 2 young White's tree frogs todayMy intention was to get just the one, but as the guy in the pet shop opened their 'container', 2 of them climbed out onto the guy's hand! I couldn't possibly choose between them, so I got the pair! One is a lovely bright green (Herbie) and one is more brown than green (Pip), they are about 3/4 inch and very pretty! My 10 yr old daughter chose the names, I wanted to name one Albert but she wouldn't let me. Grr!
It's a shame their dinner stinks though.... *yuk*
Congratulations!
Thank you! I am so unbelievably excited
Feel like a child who just got their first puppy...!!!
Hi Katie, I'm very happy for you, They are awesome frogs. I would love to see some photo's of them. Congrats.![]()
I am working on pics! My camera isn't great, and the froggies are soooo small that it's hard to get a good shot! I shall carry on trying though....![]()
They are like little puppies. Enjoy!

Hopefully, here's a pic of one of my new palsIt's not as clear as I would have liked, but it's the best I could do tonight...
I love him/her. I hope they live long and prosper. What are you keeping them in? If you keep everything clean it shouldn't smell that bad. Just remember to take out any dead crickets it takes away most of the smell and it also increases how long the others live.
Thank you! At the moment they're kept in a big plastic tank, with some wood, vines and a water dish. I've got my eye on an Exo Terra Glass Terrarium (45x45x60cm) though. Maybe when they're a bit bigger I'll treat them t a new house! Complete with waterfall....
Very nice!

When you do that post pictures and a build log cause i would love to see how you do it.
Hey Katie, Just too cute. I'm going to enjoy watching them grow up. Thanks for sharing.
I got mine about 3 months ago. It's an ideal pet:
1. It does not smell.
2. It does not annoy me.
3. It is hardy, and requires little maintenance.
4. Easy to feed, and entertaining to observe.
5. They look so awesome.![]()
6. They taste like chicken
In my experience that phrase isn't really ever true. For example rattlesnake tastes nothing like chicken.
Wow! Thanks for the replies everyone! I PROMISE to post pics, and will try a log, when I set up my terrarium!! The froglets are way too small for it at the mo, they'd never find any food if I put them in one at the mo!!! I'm having so much fun with them, I keep getting up in the night to try and catch them eating/exploring but they're always just sitting innocently on the floor![]()
lol @ tastes like chicken!! I hope I never find out.... Saw frogs legs in a restaurant in Andorra, they looked pretty grim! I don't think I could ever go there!!! I'll stick to chicken, as it really DOES taste like chicken
