For watering/misting, do you use a bottle and do it by hand? Or do you build/buy your own systems?
If you build your own systems, what all do you use? My manager at work was asking about it. He's curious to know how everyone has their things set up. =D
I mist my tanks once or twice a day. I haven't had a problem so far, the tank stays humid enough to support the plants.
2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
I have three tank operating on a Mist King misting system. It can handle up to 20 tank with ease though.
I hand mist 4 other tanks twice a day.
I have three plants in a 20 gallon tank and I've read on here that the type of frog I have doesn't like it too humid, so I only mist a couple of times a week, and then when the plants start looking a little dry, I water by hand. I kept the plants in pots so that I could move them around if I didn't like my setup, and the frogs really like to hang out in the pots, so sometimes it's tricky trying to water without bugging the frogs.
Thanks for your replies! I will pass this on to my manager, and I'll add more information as it's posted. You've been a big help.![]()
