    Default Humidity in exo terra

What are other options for keeping humidity up in and exo terra. I have a 12x12x18. I have a het pad on the backside behind the background that came with it. I also added a small tupperware with water. I have an extra heat pad and a ceramic heat emitter that I am not using.

Are you asking about heat or humidity? For humidity you can use a hand mister and mist in the morning and then again at night. You can also cover up some of the screen on top.

Misters and foggers creates higher humidity. Partially cover the top to make the humidity levels more stable. Live plants stabilize as well.

A UTH under a drainage level increses humidity as well if alot of water reaches the bottom. This however can be risky and are not at all suitble for all kinds of frogs and terrariums.

EDIT: Just want to be clear that the last tip is never a good idea for burrowing species, and mostly works in some tree frog setups. Just occured to me that you did not specify what kinds of frogs we're talking about.

Sorry for not specifying, I have an albino pacman. I'm trying to keep a stable humidity level, I do have the to screen covered with plastic. Here is a pic I just took, I posted the tread while I was at work and my foreman wasn't at his desk.

OK first thing i see is a lot of condensation on the glass...that's a good thing... shows its humid in there... I also see the temp and humidity gauge your using as I have one as well... I think its garbage... I bought 5 of them at Lowe's on clearance and my tank only said 40% humidity after running my fogging system overnight.. and with a waterfall installed as well, we actually may need to try and calibrate these, ( as Ive seen a how to on this site somewhere..) and or change your Hygrometer..I changed to a exo terra hygrometer and showed I have 85%+ humidity... something to try and think about...

I have wondered about the accuracy. I have two more I use for my blood pythons. I will look for a new hydrometer today at the pet store then. Thanks for letting me know this.

Under tank heater. A heat mat that you attach under a glass bottom or side with adhesive.
