if my frog eats some moss or coconut fiber with a bug will he die or have problems?
All of that can cause problems in large amounts. If it's just a little bit though, it shouldnt be an issue. I don't use that dried sphagnum peat moss because of the risk of impaction.

I think coco fiber, and topsoil are safe. Thats what I'm using at the moment. They ate some all ready, and nothing happened. I have to admit, that they are sloppy eaters !
I felt the same way when I first got my frog. I use eco earth loose coconut fiber and it's been really great. Mine has swallowed a good amount trying to learn how to catch crickets. Now I lift him up and put him in his water bowl to feed him just because I think a substantial amount of substrate swallowed might cause a little risk in his digestive system. He took 2 huge poops and got it all out. Your frog should be able to spit it out or wipe it out of his mouth to get most of it out anyway. Don't stress too much about it like I did...
If your frog ate a small amount of moss or dirt, he should be fine. I had a Wood frog who swallowed some moss and dirt before and was ok. However, if your frog becomes bloated or does not appear to be excreting, this is a sign that your frog has a bowel obstruction. You should cover his food with mineral oil, which is a good solution to the problem. You could also consult your veterinarian.
