I had to kick start his metabolism cause he got real skinny he would stop eating the dubias and started to spit them out so I had to act fast thanks for the support guys I would of lost it if I lost my little buddy
I'm so glad to hear that! I wish Grif would eat on his own again. We still have to force feed him but he has started snapping at the crickets again, although he hasn't caught one yet. I hope your little guy continues to improve!
I am very happy to hear about your frog! We have to be on top of our game . I am very happy to see the frogs are all fed good . Now they are sitting on full stomachs. I fed them fuzzies, and night cawlers . The sick one wouldn't touch the dubias, only the others did .
I'm glad too. Grif is a very picky eater too which makes it harder. He won't touch night crawlers or red worms or meal worms. Last night I force fed him a couple wax worms and he didn't spit them out. He won't eat from forcepts either. I have to let him catch his own food when he eats. I did have to use the forcepts with the wax worms though. They are kind of small. Supposedly they are very high in fat and since I'm trying to put weight on him I figured they would be a good buy. I also have some frozen new born pinkies. I'm going to try and force feed him one tonight. The first time didn't go so well cuz he kept spitting it out. Maybe since he has alil more energy and strength now he'll actually eat it.
That's great news! Glad to hear your little guy is on the mend and hope that he continues to get better! I've recently been learning just how much temperature affects them. I'm hoping Eugene will start eating on his own soon too now that his temperature is up. He has started snapping at crickets again, but it's still kind of weak.
The same with my guy.The higher the temp the more it stimulates there apatite . My baby water turtles get so hungry cause i keep the water at 80 degrees. The bullfrog tads i was raising grew fast cause i kept the water at 80 degrees. That is the key to success. I was told at the pet stores that pacman are hardy and don't need a heat source.
