Default Help with Identifying Several Frog- Toad Species

    Hello,

I'm attaching several photos of frogs, and despite referencing an extensive field guide, we're having trouble identifying the correct species. Any help with common and/or scientific name appreciated. The image of the red-eyed tree frog cannot be such, as it has no orange feet or blue markings down the side, correct? Thanks for your help!Name: frog-16.jpg

Looks like a cuban tree frog (Osteopilus septentrionalis). Hopefully someone else will confirm (or dispute).

Oh, and if I'm remembering correctly gliding tree frogs (Agalychnis spurrelli) are "red-eyed" but don't have the bright orange feet or purple/blue sides.

Pez might be able to help you. He is familiar with Central American and Costa Rican frogs and toads.

red-eye-green-tree-frog-playa-nicueza-8.jpg looks like A. callidryas to me. Those found on the Pacific side of Costa Rica (which if this was taken in Playa nicueza this frog will be from I believe) tend to be much less colorful than those on the Caribbean side and can lack the bright orange and blue. From the photo I can make out some feint blue colouration and the vertical cream/white bars along the flank which makes me think this is A. callidryas.

Could frog-playa-nicueza-2.jpg be a Isthmohyla rivularis? I know they're pretty rare.
