Well do your research if you have not done so already, go to local pet shops for the VIV only. And for the frog I would go and look for online breeders. Hope this helps good luck

Other than ebay we also have 'gumtree' which is kind of like craiglist where people put ad's up and 'preloved'. Look in local newspapers or shop adverts and see what people are selling. Some pet shops will have ex display items they are getting rid of for a reduced price, it would not hurt to ask. If you scrub them out with bleach, then vinegar and then water and air dry they will be clean.

Also look for 'terrariums' as much as you are searching for vivariums, vivs are usually more expensive and made of wood. You i dont think you are going to be able to buy just the tank/viv/terrarium and frog for £50 in one go, you also need decor, substrate, heating. And i am good at getting things on the cheap.

I think your est idea is to make a plan, if you have pocket money/allowance or are working at all, save a bit away and say "ok this month i will use £20 to buy my tank decor" and build it up like that. This way you will not rush yourself and you may be able to convince your mum that you could spend some more.

Have you read the care sheet on the forum for whites? It may give you some ideas of what you will need Frog Forum - White's Tree Frog Care - Litoria caerulea

I like the 30x30x45. Its a nice home for a whites tree frog if you want more whites tree frogs down the road, which you will. Because i know you don't have to buy any more tanks for now. That size should keep you busy for a while . I also like the Douglas fir bark for substrate. It's also nice to put some driftwood in the tank ,so they rest on . I also put a nice size water bowl for them to relax. Make shore its not too deep ,so they don't drown. Good luck with your project. Btw check out the care sheets on this site. LOL

They have things to keep the crickets in called cricket keepers and they have tubes and everything so you dont have to touch them and they cant excape. Just pour them into it outside so they dont excape into the house.

I feed my frogs earth worms from Walmart. They don't have to be fed every day .These frogs get fat very easily . Be careful not to over feed them!
