How do you like dart frogs?

Do you consider them easy or hard to take care of compared to other frogs?

Yes. I have an older brother, a younger sister, and a younger brother.

I am not exactly sure how to answer that. When I first started researching amphibians (to get one) early January this year, it was the African Clawed Frog. Unfortunately, after weeks of research my parents finally said "no" because my brother was so worried that they would escape from the tank and eat his Goldfish LOL. Then I started researching Pacman Frogs, which honestly was a big step for me because I had never had a pet (other than dogs and cats) that needed anything less than the humidity at 100% (fish LOL!). I spent about a month researching Pacman Frogs. One of the reasons I am so active on the forum was because I couldn't get enough information out of the Pacman Frogs care articles I found, and unfortunately many were inconsistant with others. I got Malcolm in late March, so maybe that is when I actually "got into" amphibians? Maybe that is up for debate.

I noticed you said dart frogs. Right now I have the female and she is doing great! Eating fine, etc. I am going to get the male near the end of this summer when the weather cools. I am really excited about it! I can't wait to watch them interact!

    Thank you for asking!

I really love watching my female, Grace, hop around the tank happily. She is so interactive! She will hop right up to the glass while I am there watching her. She doesn't seem afraid of me at all, she actually looks glad to see me! Cobalts was a great choice! I really have enjoyed the experience, and like I said, I can't wait for the male!

Honestly at this point I would have to say that dart frogs (mine anyway) are requiring a little bit more maintanence. It isn't anything complicated, just the daily to thrice daily mistings and constant watch of humidity, although it is averaging higher and higher and I am told that it should stay pretty consistant once the plants have grown in abit. With Pacman Frogs I take out the frog and through the dirt a bucket about twice a month. I didn't have Malcolm long enough to have to change out all the cocofiber, but I know that is a step in Pacman Frog ownership. Neither one of them are diffecult (like fish are), I'd say they are both pretty easy, but I can't really say if one is easier than the other. Just my observations, though. Dart frogs will probably end up proving easier in time.

LOL, I haven't really thought about writing another article. I was thinking about possibly getting a Budgett's Frog right before I lost Malcolm, but now it seems that a Budgett's Frog will need to wait. I don't really feel qualified to write an article on another species, yet. I don't feel like I have done enogh research or had enough experience with any of frog species other than Pacman Frog. At least not at this point. That isn't to say that I'll never write another article again someday, because that is still a possibility.

    Keep the questions rolling!

Have you influenced any other person (Friends, Relatives) towards keeping frogs?

When your school has things like "inside out shirt day" and "wear your underwear outside your pants day", do you take part or are you a bystander?

If you could go to one place in the world to explore for one week, where would that be?
