Damn, I tried to measure my frog tonight because I think it's already a semi adult 2.6 inches. I reached in and set a tape ruler next to him and he bit the metal part at the end. Almost got my finger.

Just tossing my 2 cents in,Nightcrawlers/butterworms/crickets are the staple. I cut my Bullys nightcrawlers in half, it seems to make digestion so much easier. next day poops, regularly. If i leave them whole, pooping becomes irregular, an days apart. Also make sure the coco fiber is wet marshy like, no puddles, but ya can make a ball out of it. keeps him from eating the loose coco fibers. i also stopped using moss in the substraight, after i seen him try an eat some with a cricket. i have had my Bully for 3 months an he is a beast now ,prob close to 4-5 inches. i also started with the dish. good move to get him in the swing. An try not to handle him, only when ya clean the tank, your oils on ya hands can be very bad for him, an like wise. i also recommend a pond or lagoon for him, My bully took to the water like a fish, an stays in it for sometimes days. do a search on my posts for some ideas an pics. I basically made my guy Africa. im soon moving him into a new home a 40 gal breeder. complete with mist systems canister fish filter for the lagoon waterfall etc. when you see in person how big they get... i realized the set up hes in is going to be to small...i want my bully to feel at home

Sounds good i can't wait to see it. My guys are not too fund of forceps.I feed them in a separate container, they also like to be handled more as they get bigger.BTW watch your fingers ,and they're good jumpers too. Today I found my big male under buried under the water bowl. I cracked up when i saw that.

This is my new setup for him to give you a perspective (He's burrowed somewhere on the right side, underneath the coco fiber):

30x12x12, exo terra large water dish (I couldn't find a suitable large tupperware container to save money), dollar tree fake tropical tree, suction cup fake plant from petco, loose eco earth coco fiber. He/she is about 2.5-2.6 inches right now I believe so the cage is plenty big enough for the time being. I spray his cage down at least 3 times a day with a spray bottle; dechlorinated water of course. Try to keep inside there at 80% humidity, also spraying the fiber to get it moist. The temps in there are usually 81-82F during the day, with a temperature drop a little bit at night. He's a pooping machine right now; he's taking 3 large dumps in his water dish in the past 2 days so he seems pretty good right now. I feed him a staple diet of adult crickets (gut loaded) and night crawlers from walmart. I just give him the night crawlers whole while he is sitting in his water dish. I will watch out though for irregular pooping as you mentioned. He's pretty nervous and uneasy when I open his cage so I don't hold him at all. The only time I pick him up is to either move him into his water dish for feeding time or for taking him out of his water dish to clean it daily. The only places he poops and pees is in there so it’s awesome. My little guy is the same way with his water dish, all night and sometimes all the way into the next day basking under the heat. I also agree with you when they get bigger I want to provide him the most natural habitat and when I get some money saved up I will definitely do a filtrated system with a fogger and some other cool things. I read John's whole care sheet on Pixies from front to back like 5 times along side with Phat Phibs care sheet so I pretty much know what I'm doing. The only concerns I have is: Is he getting proper nutrition, enough food, how do I properly feed him crickets. The night crawlers are easy to feed him, I just drop them in his water dish and he dives down with his mouth and wrestles and tears them apart. The crickets I don't really know what to do with those. When I put them in he tends to just stay in his water dish and not go after them, then they go and climb the plants that are in there which I don't want them to stay in there in case of crickets biting him. I just throw the crickets into his water dish for now until I figure out what to do with those, the only problem is they drown very fast so there's not much movement on them for him to get attracted. He still eats them though when I throw them in. How should I feed him dusted supplement night crawlers or crickets if I'm just throwing them into his water dish? Thanks for your advice, and I'll also go check out some of your pics .

My guy gets a little intimidated when I place food in front of him with forceps. I did it with a night crawler and he kept nipping at it and not getting it so I dropped it in his water bowl and he went after it. Maybe I should buy a sterilite container to feed him in so I stop stressing out about feeding him haha. Do you think mine will still eat with no humidity and heat placed over it though while I'm temporarily feeding him in it?

He has to get his calcium with D3 powder because you don't have a uvb florescent bulb. You use calcium with out D3 if you don't use uvb bulb. Also a good reptovitamin is good to use every third feeding . Today I took them out for some sun again. I don't use lights for my frogs. I use uvb/uva ,and a heater ,for my turtles. Frogs are easier on the pocket when it comes to the electric bill, lol.

My bad I totally read your thing wrong. I saw 2 types of repcal herpavite supplement containers at petco, one was like a calcium supplement that was like $4.99 and there was a multivitamin with a huge list of vitamins for like $14.99. I'm thinking about buying the multivitamin one for the most nutrition and sprinkling it on like one cricket or nightcrawler once a week. Do you think that's right, or should I just stick to getting a calcium d3 powder with a reptovitamin?
