every time I feed my Frog his side gets all poked out looking. is this just where his food is going? it looks pretty uncomfortable and looks like it is going to hurt him lol...
is it normal?

That looks a bit extreme. It's hard to draw any conclusions though. If he is eating well and defeating regularly I would leave well alone for now.

Hi
I do not believe your frog is normal I just think its a deformity. If the frog is in good working order at both ends and is living the good life then it is not unlike lots of us humans. The onlly way to confirm the frog is 100 percent ok is to visit a specialist vet! in the end love him or her what they are ?

I know i pacs stomach sticks out like that when they eat a big meal or mice but thats kind of normal

My GTF has that after eating a couple of crickets but not that much.but gets back to normal in less than 24hrs,i guess just the food moving around in the stomach
Are his temps correct so he can digest properly? I've seen my frogs have lumpy stomachs occasionally after a big meal but it goes away fast.

Not sure on temps at the moment as the frog was a spur of the moment thing (thanks to the ol lady lol) and were broke as a joke right now so will be getting all his temp stuff soon. Iv got a normal light on his enclosure its self in a dome light I had for a few snakes just to provide some type of heat on one side of his bin. Im using a reptivitimin on crickets every other feeding but it does not say if it has D3 in it or not. Also his side goes back to normal after about 24 hours aswell but I was just concerned if its normal for there sides to do that after a big meal of three crickets for a baby.
If the frog is eating a lot and the lumps go away quickly, that's normal. As long as he's still got a good appetite and is pooping regularly there's no problem. Mine looked like that after eating when he was a baby, but not so much now that he's bigger.
mine does that after he eats adult male dubias![]()
How can i tell if he is pooping? when we first got him we seen that he pooped in the container to bring him home in. after that i have not been able to find poop in the container since the coco husk is like the same coloring lol...i put a water dish in his bin and he likes spending time in it as far as iv seen aswell so hopefully i spot a big turd in there in the next day or so..he loves his crickets tho. I ordered 500 and i think i ordered a LITTLE too many for 2 frogs HAHAHAHAHA
I just noticed that mine is doing the same thing, not sure if my frog ate a cricket or not but I am aware that he did just go through the shedding dance/process. Maybe it's something to do with shedding?
They poop usually anywhere from every 3 days to up 2 weeks depending on temp humidity and the amount of food they are consuming and how often they eat. If they eat 4 to five crickets everyday then they'll be more regular. About every 3 days. If their food is spread out more then they go less often. Usually if they poop in their burrow then they'll change to a new spot to burrow or they will leave their burrow and poop on top of the substrate and then return to their burrow. They will also poop in their water dish especially if the water is slightly tepid. As long as they are not impacted they will poop regularly. It isn't uncommon for some to go a week before pooping.
I would say theres not really too much to worry about. My pacman frog had the similar problem when I used to feed him. It used to happen like 6 months ago and he is still here, healthy and fat.
