Hello.
So, I obtained a WTF about a year ago...he had Chytridiomycosis, and so I adopted him from the pet store where I work (PetSmart. Yeah, yeah, I'm not fond of them either, but it's a job.)
I killed the fungus, and he became much healthier in a hurry. I'm kind of new to tree frogs, but I've kept Hyla Regilla (didn't they change the genus recently or something?) before and been successful.
Anyway, the other day he was acting strangely, much like he did when he had Chytridio. I took him out of his enclosure (5.5 Gallon, water dish, coco fiber mix, live plants, driftwood for climbing. He's in a 5.5 because he was very small when I got him; he's gotten bigger and I will be moving him into a much bigger tank shortly.) and set him up in a large Critter Keeper with paper towels, and a water dish and one small decoration to climb on.
I've treated him for Chytridio again (three days) and he's perked up quite a bit, but he seems bloated...not a ton, just a little bit. Earlier today I gave him a short bath in some warm (frog-safe) water, and then put him back. He hasn't pooped or anything, but he still looks slightly bloated. He did shed his skin after the warm water bath, and I've heard that they sometimes become a little bloated before they shed, but I wanted to see what experts would have to say about it.
His diet consists of small to medium crickets, gut loaded and dusted with multivitamins/calcium. If you guys could give me some pointers on how to keep these guys healthy, I'd really appreciate it. I've gotten kind of attached to this little fatso...I named him Sage for the awesome sage green color he turns when he's happy.
