Hello everyone, my name is Chad and like the title says, I am new to this forum. I have had my frog for a couple of weeks now and can not get him to eat nightcrawlers, he eats crickets like nobody's business but will not touch nightcrawlers. Does anyone have any tips I could try out? I apologize if this is an old question , I could not find anything in a search. Thank you in advance for any help.
Is it necessary to feed nightcrawlers? I have read a lot on here that people have pacs who refuse to eat worms. One thing you can try is holding it in a tongs and wiggling it.

He may not like/want worms, at least he is eating. You could also try dubia roaches, my pets don't like them as much as crickets though. There must be something about that crunchy carapace...
Thank you for the quick replies! I guess him not liking the worms makes a lot of sense, just didn't think about it.
Once they actually eat an earthworm they realize that they love them and will almost not eat anything else in the future. Keep trying with the worms.

Thanks John!
How are you offering the worms and how old is the frog? I have had old frogs from other people that will not take nightcrawlers no matter what I tried. If it's a young frog maybe try holding worm with a forcep and lightly tap the frogs mouth.
Thanks Eel Noob, I have been trying dangling the worm in front of him, but he just seems annoyed. I appreciate all the great advice given thus far. I plan to keep trying along with other food sources. Thanks again everyone!
