I'm not sure exactly how old they have to be to start calling. A lot of that has to do with conditions in their home and the individual frog. I've had my male C. Cranwelli for about 6 months and he has never called. He makes clicking and popping sounds when me and my fiance talk to him. He makes a cheeping noise sometimes but less often. 85 is. A good temp for a young pacman. Its actually an ideal temp in my opinion due to the tropical environment they come from. Grif became ill and I've been nursing him back to health. Occationally ill raise his temp to 87 or 88to try and regain a feeding responce since a lot of the time they stop eating when the get sick. He's coming back though. Humidity should be from 70 to 80. Alil higher probably be alil higher since in their natural habitat it gets pretty high. I wouldn't go higher than 85 for temp and maintaining a 75 percent humidity reading will do just fine. Sometimes they'll eat if you raise the humidity at night alittle by misting lightly.

Yeah, some pacmans love and use their water dishes all the time and others don't use them at all. Grif hardly ever uses his. I think some of that has to do with how moist you keep their substrate too. I guess as long as its deep enough for them to completely bury themselves and its kept pretty damp then they don't need to use actual water to cool off or drink because the obsorb the water they need from the soil. Grif gets his water from the soil. Sometimes when he unburies himself he's huge because he soaked up a bunch of water from his soil.

funny you say that because for the 1st time since I 1st put the substrate in jabba has buried himself real deep tonight maybe because the temp went down to 75 in the tank Im turning off the light though cuz i dont trust it at night i dont want to wake up to a cooked frog even though its just a 50w rather not take the chance... its it ok if the tank goes down to 73 or so tonight...i did notice that he has dug himself right to the side of the heat pad

73 isn't bad as long as he is over the heat pad. Make sure you have a tank liner in there under his substrate though. The glass will get hot and burn him unless its on the side of the tank in which case it won't matter as long as the UTH isn't low enough for him/her to lean on the glass and get burnt. You can buy a lamp that has a dial on it to adjust the brightness of the light and heat it produces. I use one of those and I use it at night with a infrared heat light. He/she should be fine though. You can also wrap plastic wrap around the lid of your tank to hold heat and humidity in. Just make sure to leave air holes to allow propper air circulation.
