oh well no luck with the newborn pinkie he wouldnt even take a bite at it i really dont know why.... any more ideas for feeding him.... should I just throw 2 crickets in the tank and leave them in there until he eats them? or maybe try feeding him baby pinkie again later tonight? He has been very active all day I took him out of his tank and put him into a watering bowl to add some more substrate and he was jumping all around and got out and was enjoying himself chilling and moving all along my kitchen counter lol
You can leave the crickets in wiyh him over night. He may decide to eat them in private. I wouldn't feed him a pinkie until he is a bit larger. He may choke on it. You should be careful letting him/her hop around on your counter he may decide to jump off the edge and the hight of that far would probably kill him or seriously injure him. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy watching Grif hop all over the place. Especially when he walks rather than hops. Once he gets settled and the temp and humidity is right he will probably gladly eat. Size of crickets can also determine this.if they're too large or to small some pacmans won't bother with them. The food should not be bigger than half the size of your frog.
Ok ill leave 3 of them in there over night I just got the temp up to 85 humidity is near 75 and he is just chillin in his water bowl so all must be good so i turned off the light shouldi try to get the temp higher? Also when do they start croaking if they are males id like to know what sex I have and im assuming that is the only way to tell

I'm not sure exactly how old they have to be to start calling. A lot of that has to do with conditions in their home and the individual frog. I've had my male C. Cranwelli for about 6 months and he has never called. He makes clicking and popping sounds when me and my fiance talk to him. He makes a cheeping noise sometimes but less often. 85 is. A good temp for a young pacman. Its actually an ideal temp in my opinion due to the tropical environment they come from. Grif became ill and I've been nursing him back to health. Occationally ill raise his temp to 87 or 88to try and regain a feeding responce since a lot of the time they stop eating when the get sick. He's coming back though. Humidity should be from 70 to 80. Alil higher probably be alil higher since in their natural habitat it gets pretty high. I wouldn't go higher than 85 for temp and maintaining a 75 percent humidity reading will do just fine. Sometimes they'll eat if you raise the humidity at night alittle by misting lightly.
ok well hes been in his water bowl all day so i guess thats good
Yeah, some pacmans love and use their water dishes all the time and others don't use them at all. Grif hardly ever uses his. I think some of that has to do with how moist you keep their substrate too. I guess as long as its deep enough for them to completely bury themselves and its kept pretty damp then they don't need to use actual water to cool off or drink because the obsorb the water they need from the soil. Grif gets his water from the soil. Sometimes when he unburies himself he's huge because he soaked up a bunch of water from his soil.
