Don't feed him anything from outside! Better safe than sorry. As long as he's eating well you don't have to feed him anything else yet. And if you don't have any crickets left or something he will be fine without food for a few days.

So no dice on the baby night crawlers tried feeding this morning and he took it and when i went back it to check up on him i guess he spit it out.... Tired again tonight an he wouldnt take I left 2 crickets in this morning and I noticed only 1 is left so im gonna assume he ate the other one so all he has eaten in 2 days is 1 large cricket it seems everyone talks about what amazing eaters these are but so far both of my pacmans didnt live up to that is there something im doing wrong here temp is around 78 in the humidity is near 65% im a little less scared with him one because he is much more active then my last (jumped around a lot when i opened up the tank last night) so idk i just dont want this one to die

so I went to the store today and the guy told me to try giving him a pinkie.... within seconds he went after it. After about 2 mins it seemed like he had about 2/3rds of it in his mouth and then he just spit him back up and now he is just hovering over it?? Why is he doing that I dont understand? Should i leave it in there in case he decides to try again?

I'm no expert, actually I don't even have a pacman, but my best guess would be that it was too large for the frog, and/or the frog is too small to handle pinkies yet.

Yea that could be it... I'm gonna take the pinkie outta the tank and in a few hours go get hime a newboarn pinkie much smaller and give it a try... only cuz this is the 1st time I have seen him that attracted to any food that fast he norm never goes after anything i put in the tank so I have to assume getting him a smaller one would be a good idea

From the pic you showed the frog looked about the size of a quarter, I wouldn't try to feed him a pinkie yet. If you raise the temps he will probably have more of an appetite.

here is a more clear pic he is about the size of a half dollar right now..... still think he is too small for a newborn pinkie? im a little worried about turning up the heat in the tank as that is what I think cause my last one to die right now its 75 in there and he spends a good amount of time in his water bowl... if i do raise the temp what should i raise it to.... right now I have a 50w daytime light above the tank but it is off

Recommended day temps are 80-85 but some owners go to 88 Fahrenheit. He is a tropical animal and needs tropical temps. If he is at least 2 inches he should be big enough for a small pinkie.

That pinky is too big for him. And if you are feeding him large crickets which can be the size of that pinky it might explain why he only eats one. Buy medium crickets and see if he eats more. 80 is fine for him in temp. You have to maintain that temp everyday and the humidity being 75 is also fine. Don't let it get too cool at night either it should only drop about 5 degrees. Mine is almost is over 7 months old and is about 3 to 3 1/2 inches. They all seem to grow at different rates as far as I can tell, but amount of food different types of food amount of vitamins and calcium they receive as well as a well maintained environment can all determine growth. He will grow. Grif grew in spirts and would eat heavily during these spirts. Yours might do the same.

You need to read up on Pacman frogs. They are nocturnal. You should only try and feed him at night or really early in the morning. They need a 12 hour day night cycle and they feed at night. I'm glad he ate the pinky. Don't feed him to many mice though or hell become obese which is very bad for pacmans.
