I found this frog in my raspberry bushes behind my house in New Hampshire, US. What kind of tree frog is it? It doesn't have the strip below the eyes for a Grey Tree Frog. From my guide book, it looks most like a Pine Barren Tree Frog, but those don't appear to live farther north than New Jersey.
Any ideas?
Its a young gray treefrog, Hyla versicolor. We only have two treefrogs here in New England, one is the gray treefrog, the other is the spring peeper, Pseudacris crucifer. Neither looks like the other.
Cute little guy. Kurt's right on the money with the identification.

Great! Thanks for the quick identification and confirmation. I was thrown off by the fact that I didn't see the little white strip below the eyes that my field guide said the Grey Tree Frog has. I guess it will come in clearer when he gets bigger, but we've already let him go, so we'll look for the next one.
We have a lot of spring peepers in those raspberry bushes as well. Must be lots of bugs in there they like!
Raspberry bushes are usually loaded with ants and aphids, a good treat for those little babies!! That was a good looking gray tree frog!
