    Default Lettuce and Tomato

No I'm not talking sandwich fixings! I just recently adopted 2 whites tree frogs, and Lettuce and Tomato really seemed to fit them. They are not my first frogs (I was given a couple of fire bellied toads that I didn't have much success with), but I want to make sure they receive the best care possible. They are in a 21 gal tall with Bed-A-Beast and moss for a substrate, and their furniture consists of a large "driftwood" positioned diagonally and some different vines to allow for a few good hiding areas. I have a small under tank heat pad and a 75w red light on top of the screen cover (which I secured with heavy duty velcro) and 2 med, shallow water dishes. Their diet consists of gut loaded crickets and I'm trying to supplement in some wax worms, but they don't seem interested so far. I'm having a real hard time with the temp (currently it's 71*F on the warm side) and was wondering what would be appropriate lighting fixtures and bulbs. I am also seriously interested in setting up a vivarium with live plants but I am not sure what plants are best for White's Tree Frog...any suggestions would be welcome!!

I'm from MI and I also have a leopard gecko named Bo (she's a rainbow jungle hybrid, hence the name), an eastern box turtle named Beaks (he had a very long beak when he came to me), a western named Tessie, a russian tort named Amarillo (Spanish for yellow, she was jaundice when she came to me), a red eared slider named Jade and 2 dogs named Roxanne and Jezebel. I work in the animal field, so most of my pets came to me from homes who could no longer care for them. I enjoy being a hobbiest and love when my animals thrive!

I've NEVER blogged before....so sorry if my intro is too lengthly

    Nice to meet you all!

I was think you should get a third White's and name it Bacon. That way you will have Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato!

You could then label the cage BLT. Welcome, hope you enjoy your whites. I enjoy mine a lot

You could then make some kind of a hide or water bowl that looks like a BLT sandwich. I am kinda going over board with my imagination though. Well, keep us updated.
