I had some medium-large pieces of lettuce in my viv for the crickets and my White's lunged at a cricket and caught the lettuce in with the kill - it was about 1.5" square in size (maybe a tad bigger). It had been in there during the day for the 2-3 crickets not eaten last night. I thought that this would be large enough that he'd spit it out but he didn't! He kept trying to swallow it.
I tried to pull it out in the beginning but he pulled a bit more of it into his mouth. I held on to it, hoping he'd expel it but he didn't. He thrashed around and pushed at my fingers with his feet but didn't let go. His tummy seemed to balloon up a bit about 5 minutes afterward for about 5-7 minutes. He ate two crickets shortly after this and has been acting somewhat normal (?!).
Can he digest this? Will he expel it/throw it up? What can I do? We've been looking online and can't find anything about this!
We don't have a vet yet and tomorrow's Sunday.
Hopefully it will just digest and break down in his/her stomach.
Was it a soft piece or hard? Also, how big is the frog?

I hope everything is okayFrom now on, try putting orange slices in with the crickets instead. They cant munch those up and it gives your crickets some vit c, which in turn goes into your frog.
Keep us updated.

He'll probably be fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

He's a sub adult that's about 2 inches long. The lettuce had been in there for a few hours and was fairly soft already. We watched him all night and he seems to be acting normal and seems to be settling in for the day. Thank you very much for your support and your answers.
