Default My new dart frog enclosure

My wife and I just purchased 6 Dendrobates leucomelas today at the Charlotte Reptile show today. We finished our tank not too long ago and we are very happy with the new frogs. Here are some pics of our new additions and the tank. This is the first time we have kept darts and that is our first time making a vivarium so any feed back or suggestions would be great.

I like it! What's the background made of? I can't quite pin it down. One thing about leucs is that they like to climb more than any other large dart. Maybe try to put some climbing opportunities in there for them.

    Best of luck!

You will be very happy with the Leucs. Right out front bold and fun to watch.

    Beautiful viv too.

Thanks a lot guys! The background is great stuff covered in coco fiber. Yeah i want to put some more on the walls and maybe some vines running across some sections of the tank. We are also wanting to put some tillandsias or something on the background for something to break up the plain brown. The 3 vines that are planted in there should grow in and help with that some but i would also like to add a little more color.

I like some of the smaller unusually colored Bromeliads since my Leucs like to sleep in them.
Tropiflora Has some really cool stuff that I was looking into ordering.

I like Michaels bromeliads too. They have a frog-friendly brom list too.

I've seen a lot of vivs before, and this tank, even though there's that thing in the background, it has a very natural look. Maybe it's just the moss and water feature? I dunno. but nice tank overall

That thing in the background will hopefully blend in more when the plants grow in and we get some more to put on the background. It does kind of stand out right now lol

Actually the left FTS is my av pic. Is that a 40B or a 70g? It looks pretty tall to be a 40B. I'm making a 20 long tank for luecs (2-3 of them) and this is a good inspiration lol.
