My toads seem to be growing very fast the last couple of days. There is almost no size gap between them now, and they're both plump and eating like mad. I almost bought them small crickets today, but I went with another FFF culture just to be on the safe side. We'll try the crickets next time. I'll see if I can get some tape measure pics soon. They must be approaching the 1" size now.

Nice Pete!! The small skinny one in those pics is the one I'm having trouble with. The small fat one hit a HUGE growth spurt and has almost caught up with the other two. I keep hoping the tiny little one does.

    A few new pics today:

They're still not quite an inch long. Still feeding them fruit flies for now.

It's that time of week again...more toadlet pics!

By the way, if anyone can identify what the toe trouble is in the 3rd photo, please let me know. I have no idea what it is.

Pete by the looks of things you're doing a great job. I found a toad at my cousins house in Long island last week. It was more on the tan greenish side with red warts. After i watched it for an hour i released it. Btw did you collect them by your area?

Yeah, they were in a place where lots of people walked by and squished more of them every few minutes, so I decided to try to save a couple of them. A third toad stowed away in some of the soil I scooped up, so I ended up with 3 toadlets. One of them passed away about a month ago for no apparent reason, but the other two have been doing great this whole time. Geez they were little back then...

It's just amazing how quickly these little guys grow. I really need to get some picture updates. The toads are in my kids' room though and I only think to take pics after they're in bed!
