BG, we have HUNDREDS of these toads in our yard! We are an anti-pesticide family though with a very large property, so this may be why!

Hopefully people will eventually get the hint about fertilizers and pesticides and some of these little guys will make a bigger comeback.

Nice little toads you have there. I love the second photo it looks like the bigger toad is eyeing up the little one, "I'm gonna eat you" says the big toad.

Amy, a couple of yours are bigger, but I think I might have the fattest toadlet. It's growing, but sideways!

90% that is a young female.

Thanks, that's good to know! Those 4 pics were all of the slightly larger toadlet.

Do you think it's likely I have 2 females, seeing them both together? (Not that it's terribly important, but it would be nice to know if I might get eggs someday or not, and also for naming purposes.)

Edit: I just noticed from looking at this photo how I can tell these two apart for the time being, even if they were to become the same size. The one on the right has racing stripes!

Hey Amy - its amazing how they grow isn't it?

Pete - Very cute little fatty! Looking great!

I miss the pitter patter of little webbed feet - no babies this year, which are terribly cute, just great big fat guys/girls...

You definitely win in the fat section LOL Is that your soaker?

I would have never thought that you could tell that so early. I know that with my gray tree frogs, the girls certainly are quite fat with quite an appetite. I swear they are never full!!

Yes Greg, it is so much fun. My gray tree frogs were much bigger when I got them, Paddy is the only one that did any significant growing. It's fun to see the peepers I have and the toadlets starting so tiny and growing into healthy frogs and toads!

Also...I found a Fowler's Toad in my garden today! So now I can't be sure what I have. So far the cranial crests are not touching the paratoid glands, we will have to wait and see though!
