hiya froggy fans!

Hi everyone I am Dannielle, and i just joined...i was actually trying to find out what kind of frog i found in my house today when i luckily stumbled across this little hopining forum (lol), by any chance can any one tell me what type of species my little froggy friend here is? this is unfortunately the only pic i have of him due to him being really scared so i let him go after taking the pic. thanks for your help!

My guess is your frog is a toad. Canadian toad , Dakota toad...i like it and your avatar made me laugh

I'm guessing you found him/her east-southeast of Calgary, around say Medicine Hat. It's a Great Plains Toad, Bufo cognatus. They're one of the "cuter" looking toads in my opinion, and while nervous when newly captive, they tend to tame really well. Here's a picture of a calling male:

thanks for your help and thanks for the welcome if i find another in the house i will take more pics lol thanks, my avatar is the toad lol i keep finding frogs and toads in my house lol so i went on picnik.com and edited the pic lol
