Hello!
Sorry I haven't been on here for a while. But I have been so busy with my garden, canning and pickeling. And their is so much more to do still.
Anyway... on to what I was asking. My ACF tads are taking forever to get their arms and legs. They are at the stage when they get their cat fish wiskers and they are around 1 and half inches to two inches long. I've lost track of what stage they are in...not sure.
And does anyone know a web site that has photos of them past at this stage?
Here are some photos and a video of my tads now.![]()
Check this website out, it has all the stages of Xenopus Xenopus laevis --- Raising and Caring for African Clawed Frogs. The average time for metamorphosis is about 49-56 days.

well the first question would be before knowing when they well get arms and legs is what are you feeding them?
i feed all my tads with spinach! yeah spinach. you boil the spinach for 5 minuets than blend it in a blender till you get a watery past.
and every couple of hours give them a couple of drops..
and they will be frog-lets in about three weeks by looking ant the stage of yours.
I don't have time for a full response but if you go to my site, Jenste Frogs
under African Clawed Frogs, Xenopus Laevis there is a breeding guide with photos of each stage
