You said you are putting crickets in a bowl are they alive?
Frogs generally wont eat dead or non moveing prey. If the crickets arent moveing around even mine wont touch them.

As a general rule, the crickets shouldnt be longer than the space between the eyes. Some aggressive frogs will still try to take down a bigger cricket than they should (and possibly choke and die) but that isn't something you would want happening. Less aggressive frogs will only go after a meal that is easy for them to take down.

I asked LLL reptile when i got him they said only their baby red eyes were CB, Yes the crickets are alive.
Okay i was getting ready to go to bed and i did not hear the crickets chirping so i looked and he had eaten them!
Awesome. He'll come around. Takes time to get use to you, new sounds, and his new home.
Since he hasn't had someone dedicated to just him before, it will just take time to trust you.
If he ate a few just add more tomorrow evening and keep in mind he may not eat them for a few days, so remove them in the morning and put them back in every evening.
