Crested gecko question?

Hey, bit of a late reply, grats on your cresties! :-) they are awesome pets! As people have already mentioned, don't use baby food as a staple diet the sugar levels will make ur gecko obese very quickly and it lacks all the proper stuff your gecko needs to be healthy (+ soon they will become addicted and not accept anything else). Crested gecko diet powder is very good and lasts a long time you only need to mix a tiny bit with some water and put it in a milk bottle lid and job done. If you want to give your geckos a treat cut off a very small piece of banana or citrus free fruit in the morning mash it up and leave it in the viv over night and remove in the morning mine use to love banana / peach.

With regards your actual question get a small towell / clean cloth not one used for washing up :-P and run it under the hot tap rinse it out allow it to cool so its 'warm' and dab ur gecko to start with and then allow it to crawl through the towell this should help dislodge stuff stuck on it I would imagine its how I bath by royal python if it has difficult shedding. I cant say I ever had this issue with my cresties though. Good luck, its probably resolved by now anyway!!

Never too late to post. I use paper towels and cresties rapshy food,roaches,and some mealworms. Not too many!! They are in a screened viv. The humidity is 60, and temp 75. I guess every body covered all the areas.lol
