I wouldn't worry. There's no absolute size requirement for these frogs. Are you sure Frodo is male?

Yes he calls all the time lol and loudly! I remeasured the frogs properly and reposted above on previous post. Both were on the glass so it was easy to measure butt to nose.
Ok im officially confused... going by size in the care sheets and other links I have read Frodo is a female.... but He calls all the time....
1.25 inches doesn't seem bad if it is a male gray tree frog. I don't think Leggy is much bigger than 1.25 inches. Paddy, my female, is a little over 2 inches and the other 2 females are somewhere in between.
2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
So I should be 100% safe that Frodo wont try and eat Sam if I put them together? Sam 1.25... Frodo 2inches... and can a Female call I was told that was how I found out if Frodo was a male... he started calling so he was a male... am I wrong?
I would NOT put them together at this point. I have 3 Grays, one is gimpy and 1.25", one is a male over 2" (who calls reliably), and a female who is 2.25". There's no way I'd put the small one in with the larger ones and the size difference is almost the same as yours. I'm pretty sure they could get the little one down if they tried hard and I'm pretty positive they'd at least try, which could never be good even if they don't succeed.
As mentioned, your little one might be nearly full grown, so you can't expect rapid changes visible to your eyes at this point. Keep measuring Sam as consistently as you can to track growth.
This brings up an issue though in how to accurately measure snout to vent length on a frog apart from eyeballing it with a ruler when the frog is on the glass. Is there a standard accepted approach?
Thanks I will give it a lil more time to see if Sam gets any bigger. I dont want to take any chances =). But atleast I'm not as worried about his lack of growth seeing some only get that big. I am a lil suprised though it seems the males get bigger than posted on many sites they need to update that lol.
I just want to point out that I brought this up as my 1.25" and 2" frogs may be different than anyone elses 1.25" and 2" frogs due to how we are doing our measurements. I based my recommendation to keep Sam and Frodo apart based on how my dudes look next to each other. Sam and Frodo could be closer in size like Amy's dudes. Also, I think it would be tragic if Frodo ate Sam, though Sam probably wouldn't mind if it meant Mr Frodo could carry on to Mount Doom (I wonder if Sam had a recipe for Poached Sam).
