    Exclamation Lost & Escaped WTF

    Hey Guys & Gals!

I know that there was a thread already posted about this topic, but I need some ideas on how to catch my little lady that has escaped.

She's housed in my room in a 20H aquarium in my entertainment center. There's not much room for her to squeeze out of the tank, or so I thought. The top of the heat lamp is pretty much right at the "ceiling" of my entertainment center. My dilemma is that I have heavy furniture in my room (aside from the entertainment center, there's two dressers and my bed). I don't think that there is enough room for her to escape under the doors and I have checked in my closet. There's no plants for her to hide in...

Should I drag one of my mom's plants into my room and put it somewhere where it would be more accessible to her to take shelter in if she needed to? Maybe near the cage?

My other concern is that I have two kittens in my room (haven't seen any signs of a devoured frog yet). Is there really any danger from toxins in these frogs? Never heard it mentioned, but one can never be too sure.

    Thanks in advance!!

    -Sarah

Agreed. Try to leave some water on the ground or in various spots around the room, maybe on top of a dresser or entertainment center to see if she turns up in one of them. Otherwise, yes, make sure those kittens don't catch her before you do...

She had gotten out of the take last night/very early this morning too. At 2:30 AM, the kittens were trying to get around a bucket I have for my water changes. I couldn't figure out what it was that they were trying to get until I moved the bucket out of the way. I managed to catch her and get her back in the tank. When I woke up again at 7 this morning, she was gone again.

Would it be okay to pull the top off of the bucket partway and put about half an inch to an inch of water in it? I'd de-chlorinate it.

I found my little lady about ten minutes ago!!!!

I had my kittens isolated for a few days but they crazy in the bathroom, so I brought them back into my room. I was just getting ready to doze off when I heard one of my kittens bouncing around and playing. I didn't think anything of it until the object made a funny noise. I looked closely and saw her on the floor. I picked her up and turned on the light and checked her out. Theres no scratches or other wounds on her. Whew! Shes now back in her tank with her boyfriend.

Now to get an escape proof habitat!
