    Exclamation Emergency!

    I have three acf's and one of them... within the hour... has come down with something. his eyes are blood red... my others have black eyes... he has dark red blood spots all over his belly. has anyone seen this before?

    Sounds like some sort of infection to me. I have 4 African Clawed Frogs and have never seen anything like this. I would separate him from the other frogs.

    separate and clean the tank. Check the others for anything that shows if they are getting it too and separate them. I would recommend also using a substrate like paper towels. Monitor them all and update constantly please.

    Its an African clawed frog, its totally aquatic, so paper towels cannot be used as a substrate.

    I have. Several years ago I tried to keep and African clawed frogs with some African cichlids and monodactylus. I saw lots of hemoraging and seizures in the frog. I am not 100% sure why this happened, but I think it may have been the salt content of the water.

    Also Premiumhawks, please don't abrieviate. It makes it hard to understand what we are talking about. The only reason I knew what frog we were talking about is because your post was placed in, the Aquatic Clawed Frogs forum.
