how long do you think it would take an inch long WTF to get to 3 inches

Depends on amount of food, quality of food, and temperature. It could be as little as 4 months, or more than a year.

Don't know if this is typical but, of my 5 who all started out at about 1 1/2 inches, 4 are at or above 3 inches since the beginning of June! (See my Avatar) However; one is only about 2 inches. All had the same access to food, living conditions, etc.- so only time will tell!
