Thin then Fat?

My pacman frog Rupert has been doing some weird stuff lately. Tuesday he looked really fat and plump. I also saw taking his back feet and pushing his fatness/stomach. Then yesterday he looked completely skinny! As he has been lately because he isn't eating too much. And then this morning I turned on his light and such and he's all fat again! I know it's not him eating because he hasn't ate in a few days. It's weird because he looks totally different... I hope this is normal and it doesn't mean something is wrong with his insides.

Grif does the same thing. The rubbing of his fatness might have been Rupert shedding as they doe this with their front and rear legs and it does look like they're rubbing their fat bellies. They also puff up with air right before and during this process to loosen and stretch the old skin. Also he might have been full of water which will also make them look as if they are fat, but if he pees then most of the water held within will be gone and he will return to the somewhat thin appearance. Grif does all of this.

What do u feed him? Where did u get him at?

I feed him crickets, nightcrawlers, and dubia roaches but he will only eat the crickets right now. I got him from Petco on June 5.

Mine does that too... I think it has to do with how much fluid they've got in their body at the time. Like, if he pees, it looks like someone deflating a balloon, and he'll look really thin for a little while after that. Of course, they also look really thin when they tense their muscles because they are straining or don't feel well. I wouldn't worry just because of that, but since your frog already has health issues (didn't you recently treat it for chytrid or was that someone else?) and isn't really eating well, just keep a close eye on him. If he doesn't appear to be in distress when he deflates/puffs up, then there's probably nothing wrong.

Hmm didn't want to make a new thread for this but as I've been saying about Rupert's leg looking weird: I found two lines that are red, looks like how shed would be when you can peel it off them but it didn't come off. I don't know if it is a cut or skin or what but it must be why his leg is acting strange. I don't know if I can get a picture or not or what to do about it.
