Long story short, I didn't realize the small hole I cut in the wire terrarium for wiring was large enough for a frog to escape.
Found my female adult red eye covered in dust on the floor in front of my glass door this morning, looking rather shriveled.
She was still alive, so I put her in some shallow water and hoped for the best. She seemed to be alright after ten minutes or so, so I went back to bed for a few hours.
Upon waking up, she was out of the water and climbing around on some branches, looking for a place to sleep, I assume. She was rather restless for an hour or so, so I decided to mix gatorade with some water and gently spritz it on her to see if it helped. She seemed to appreciate it, and about a half hour later I found her in her sleeping position on a large inverted log with my other two males.
She seems to have been cut up a bit by the mesh upon her escape, though I didn't notice anything that looked too severe. Would it be safe to swab a bit of neosporin on her? Is there anything else I should do?
