29gal mixed species environment?

I have a 29gal poludarium with two red eye tree frogs and that little microhylid i found. And i thought i had a baby green tree frog in there, but i haven't seen him in a week.. ANYWAY ; i have my water filtered with a submersable filter in the back of the tank. And a 29gal offers some space for a couple adult frogs. Is this enough space, and water to mix species?

I haven't seen your tank yet but the typical paludarium is not really appropriate for tree frogs. Of course it depends on you setup. A 29 gallon is not nearly big enough to mix species. In fact your going to be hard pressed to find anyone on any frog forum that is going to condone mixing. Its best to keep your different species in separate tanks so you can avoid any problems down the road. You also need to check for your baby. Just to make sure he hasn't drowned yet. You also need to make sure he is eatting. Check out the care articles for your particular frogs to make sure you've covered your bases.

You need to take into account that the tree frogs will travel large horizontal distances (in the wild) in search for food and in a confined space will now have to move vertically, down to the water level and substrate to feed.
Most tree frogs are not the greatest swimmers, so water depth should be low enough to all your frogs to sit on the bottom and still have their head out of the water.

As for mixing species, its for the experts, and you will find on every frog forum, zoo discussion board, and from every breeder on the net that the answer will always be no.
The toxins they leave behind on plants, vines, substrates, glass, and in the water can eventually be absorbed, or collected through eating and drinking by the tank mates. Thus, slowly poisoning until ill and eventually death.

You will find that most experienced frog keepers and breeders will completely strip a tank if changing species in that tank do reduce the chance of such problems later on in the adults and their offspring.

Thank you I think i'm going to redo the whole tank. and make it a vivarium.
