Rain water for frogs?

I wouldn't use rainwater. Depending on where you're at, it could have lots of pollutants and whatnot in it and some might not be able to boil out. I only use well/creek water for wc frogs, but not my pacman. I've even heard of some frogs dying when the type water they are used to is changed.
Distilled is definitely bad. I use spring water for mine.

If I switch to spring water ill delute it with my dechlorinated water so he can adjust slowly. That is if I switch. I think my water is hard. It leaves calcium stains on the inside of my tanks and a bleach water solution won't even remove it when I clean them. I hope that doesn't effect him. I figure if it was going to hurt him it would have already.

Just as a quick add-on to your statement. Distilled water can be used with great success in misting, and misting only. This is because it does not leave mineral deposits on the glass.
But in every other aspect, it's bad, like you said.

Thanks Martin. I was told to use it in my reptile fogger too because it makes the fogger last longer and that makes sence because mineral deposites probably mess up the fogger and it would be the same as misting.

Indeed. However, if you open up the ReptiFogger, you'll see that it's not as complicated as one would think. And therefore, very easy to clean. But you are absolutely correct, it's better for the device as well.

I thought RO water could cause problems if it didn't have minerals/salts/what have you added back in to it.
