20gal Long poludarium/vivarium

I'm hoping to get a 20gal long tank. maybe not soon, but i want to. I want to keep frogs AND newts. Is it a bad idea to mix them in the 20gal? The newts would have their own water section, with plexiglass seperating the land and water.

I'm a pdf hobbyist, but I've had a paludarium before and they are so cool, especially the bigger ones. We also separated the land/water with a piece of acrylic that my husband heated up so that he could bend it and make it curvy.

There are a lot of very knowledgeable folks on this board, and they can help you with your critter selection.
