Default Hi! My first frog, need help with his identity!

    Hi everybody!

I am completely new to the site tonight, i just bought my first frog yesterday! He seems to be doing great at the moment, eating and burying himself in moss, his enclosure isnt totally finished yet im in the process of freezing some items to make sure they are all germ free! But alas, im a little confused! When i bought him the guy in the shop said he was a tree frog, which is true, i just dont know what kind of tree frog! Because hes so new and i dont want to over handle him and stress him out i dont have a picture yet, the best i can do at the moment is a description. Albert is around 2.5 inches in length and has quite a chunky build, his colour during the day is a deep olive green with spots of darker green ringed by yellow or a goldy olive colour at night he seems to ligthen up to a kind of pea green! With his under belly being cream to white. His skin is very smooth, his legs underneath where bright red in the shop, since ive got him home i cant see the red anymore? And im told he makes noises that sound like a car alarm although i havent heard him yet!! Hes very calm, doesnt dislike being handled and not nervous!

Can anyone help me figure out what kind of tree frog he might be??

    Thank you so much!!

Welcome to the forum. From the description I'm going to guess it's an American Green Tree Frog. A photo would really help - it doesn't have to be a great quality photo.

On another note, when you registered on the forum you agreed to our terms of service, one of which is that you must put your country in your profile (see the flag on the left of my message?).
