I had to share my daughter's catch of the day!! We were heading back to the pond to check out the frogs this morning...and here is what she chased down and caught...



They are afraid of thunderstorms...but not snakes lol

I can't get the picture big enough to check but I think T sirtalis--they have the lateral stripe on the 2nd/3rd row of scale and T radix has the strip on the 3rd/4th row.

Yes, Thamnophis sirtalis, It was a pretty little snake! It's the second one we found in our area, the last one was much bigger. So it is good to know they are hanging out here!
