Mine will make a popping or clicking sound when I change his water or put food in! At first I thought it was a warning noise but he always seems quite happy so maybe just saying hello

@ Sprout, I'm pretty sure its not a warning noise. They make that hissing noise when they are angry. When he make the popping sound, he doesn't puff up either (like they do when they feel threatened). When we talk to Grif he'll usually turn towards whoever is talking and make that popping noise. I think it really is just them saying hello!

Haha, that's really cute. You should get a video and put it on youtube.

I've never heard mine make a sound either, which is a big part of why I've always figured she was a girl. Hopefully I'm right, hahaha.

Mine doesn't puff up when he makes noise either. He used to hiss quite a bit when I first got him but is now relatively calm in his surroundings.
