Site software upgrade at the end of this week

Dear Frog Forum member,

We will be upgrading the site's software at the end of this week. We've already done a test upgrade on our test copy of the forum and there were no significant problems. The upgrade process should take 4-6 hours. During that time you will not be able to post on the forum, and most of the content will be unavailable. We ask for your patience during the upgrade - it will be worth it .

The look of the site will change significantly, but in my opinion it is a great improvement. You will also have access to new features like your own Frog Forum blog!

After the main upgrade is complete, it could be several days before some of the minor features of the site are brought up to date with the new look. This will not affect your ability to view and post to the site in the mean time.

Awesome I can't wait for the upgrades. I think the forum looks great as it is so if you say it's better looking it must be amazing.

Just letting you know where things stand right now. I'm still working on the look of the site, and I need to reformat pretty much all of the articles (ouch) but I'm still on target for upgrading on Friday or Saturday.

Working on converting the articles for the past few hours. Lot of work left to do. I'm not sure I want to deal with the "Meet the Frog" articles since none of them are integrated with the forum. Anyhow, we're looking at another couple of days before I do the actual upgrade.

I intend to start the software upgrade later today. The forum will be unavailable for as much as 6 hours, and even after it opens again it will have reduced functionality for perhaps 1-2 days (e.g. Sparse menus). Thanks for your patience and support!
