So this is actually my standard lamasi viv but for the past couple months it produces tons of mushrooms in it. Here are some pictures:

How long do the mushrooms stay around for? My Red Eyed Tree Frog viv gets them all he time but as soon as the grow and the tops open they die and more come in to do the same thing.
1.0.0 Red Eyed Leaf/ Frog - Agalychnis callidryas
1.1.1 Bumblebee Dart Frog - Dendrobates leucomelas
1.1.0 Dendrobates truncatus - Yellow Striped
1.1.1 Dendrobates tinctorius – Bakhuis Mountain
1.1.0 - Dendrobates tinctorius - Powder Blue
1.1.0 - Ranitomeya vanzolinii
That looks very cool!!
2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
One of my favorite things are random mushrooms
very cool
i have been getting some small white shelf mushrooms
lately in my asperum viv that have been lasting for weeks on end. Never seen anybody else have them last that long.
I thought mushrooms and fungus are bad, because they spread their spores and the frogs would breathe them in causing all sorts of problems with breathing. That's why I always remove them as soon as they appear.
So can I leave them in and be sure they're safe?
very cool
That is awesome! I wish they would grow in mine!![]()
Just be careful because some types of mushrooms are extremely poisonous. One in particular is the deadly galerena - orange caps and stems, most common habbitat is on dead or rotting branches and bark
