Thinking about selling my collection :(

Well long story short i lost my job and its starting to get complicated feeding and keeping up with my frogs and other herps. It kinda sucks that i will have to maybe get rid of these guys as i always had a thing for pacs and other herps since i was little. Has anyone else on her gotten rid of there loved pets and regretted it? If things dont start going my way soon and i cant get the funds to up keep my frogs look out on the classifieds section for some frogs for sale. If anyone wants to see some of my pacs there in my albums.

I am sorry to hear you are going thru this. It is a very difficult place to be. Yes, I have been there. And in ways, am still there. Constantly having to analyze my income to my out put, and mouths to feed.

I've had to give up my animals before, when I moved from Europe to the US in 2005. It's never easy and I still regret it to this day.

any green cornutas in this collection? lol. just sell them. they are just frogs. when i moved i got rid of my collection and i never looked back. come back to collecting frogs when the time is right.

It is so easy to become attached to your pets. Animals like people are all different and have each there own personality. I have not seen any animal even of the same species act the same way. I have not been in your situation but I feel for you. I hope it doesn't come to you selling them. I hope that it all works out.

I lost my job a year ago, and if I weren't married I would definitely be screwed. What I would recommend doing is seeing if a few trusted family members or friends would be willing to foster your frogs until you get back on your feet. Dividing them up between them would keep the costs low for your family/friends, and you wouldn't have to worry about selling them off to some crazy person (i.e. the person who seems to think beloved pets are "just frogs").
