FBT set ups are a lot of water right? I know our pet smart here has some cool aquatic plants. Maybe check into those?

Pothos does well in water and substrate - other suggestions could be wandering jew or inch plant.
Anubias do well in semi aquatic setups as well as riccia fluitans and maybe some floating plants like salvinia auriculata.
