Default Light green spots on Whites tree frog

I looked in on Frogger today as we were getting ready to set up his new home and he had light green spots on his back. He has been sitting in water for the last few days during the day, but he is always active at night. He usually goes between brown and light green. I removed him from his usual tank and put him in the new one on paper towel and with a new water dish. I am cleaning all of his stuff. I am just being crazy or is there anything else I should do? I dont want to take him to a vet yet because they are really expensive for them to tell me I am crazy. I will take pictures and post them as soon as my phone charges.

Are the spots like the ones in the below pics? If so, it is a normal thing for them. Sometimes these guys are bright green and look bumpy but its normal.

Yeah pretty much but on a whites tree frog. I looked at him a minute ago and pretty much couldnt see them but they are still kind of there. I just worried I might have some how hurt him. I clean everything completely once a month and his water dish everyday when he lets me get to it. I force him to move on the secound day so I can clean it if he stays in the water to much.

When you say clean, what are you cleaning besides the water dish?

    What are you cleaning with?

Is your tank set up with live plants and a drainage bottom?

The plastic plants. i am going to move to real ones but I havent made it that far yet. The fake branch (it gets wiped down) and moss, and changing the subtrate.

I use vinager for the fake plants, water dish (once a month).
The branch is wiped down with clean water.
The moss I got said to clean it in clean water by soaking it in clean water and wring it out. I do this every month. Plus he gets new subtrate. We were using coco husk, but we changed back to eco earth under the moss.

This has been asked and answered quite a few times. Scroll down to the bottom of this page and look at the "similar threads" links.

    Nice catch John :-)

Once you go to a drainage bottom and live plants you shouldn't have to clean anything but the glass and water dish, and a little spot cleaning of droppings.

Yeah. I am know I am trying to work on that. Next payday we are getting hydro balls and the screen next paycheck and hopefully a waterfall. Then the next paycheck we will get real plants. We get paid every two weeks so I am getting as much as we can afford every two weeks and geting it totally planted.

Light green spots are a sign of stress. Have you been handling him alot lately?

No I only handle him to clean his cage. But I wont have to clean his cage after the 1st. We are getting hydro balls to fix his cage and a pump.

Sounds good. I have had this happen to two of my whites. The spots on the red eyed posted earlier were more white than light green. The light, or neon, green spots I believe are discoloration and a sign of a stressed frog. It may cure itself. The one that I attempted to cure, and handled to much, ended up passing away. The one that I left alone survived.
