    It happens. I have seen it a few times and its not very common. It some times can be pulled off with a piece of tape.

    He doesn't need UV, and I would switch him to belly heat. As for the stuck shed, get an appropriate sized bin and put an old wash cloth in the bottom, fill it with water and put the snake inside. Make sure there are holes in the container, and that there's only enough water to cover the wash cloth. Good luck!
