Hello.
I received a toad as a present. The toad seems to come from England, UK. I have uploaded some pictures, you can see them when you click on the link: Flickr: lilbird1981's Photostream
As I wasn't sure whether the toad was aquatic or not, I set up a vivarium with a water tank as well. As substrate I used soil from my garden and leaves and bark as they contain a lot of insects already. Do you think this is a good idea?
I would be happy if someone could help identify my toads, and let me know some details about how to care for it.
Thanks in advance!
Jenny.
It's not a toad, it's a Common Frog, Rana temporaria. They require the same conditions as North American Leopard Frogs and there are several discussions on keeping those in the "Frogs" area of this forum.
