Thanks! I actually just checked out the vet's website and they have a promotion going, no examination fees for new patients but there website doesn't list amphibians, only some reptiles and turtles. I shot them an email so perhaps I'll get to go to the vet as well.

I really hope they treat Rupert. I felt so helpless until now. I put him back in coco husk so he's really happy and buried himself right away. His color came back too. He was looking really pale from being on those paper towels. Grif is definetly not going to like taking his medicine, but then again who does.

One thing that perplexes me is that Rupert won't burrow anymore. He did a lot when I first got him but not anymore. I have a moist side and a dryer side too. I just bought a new fluorescent blue light and am seeing if it helps up the temp.

Where did they inject Grif at? It must be hard giving a shot to such a small creature

They gave him his shot in his leg. I held him while they did it so he wasn't too nervous because he's used to me and my voice. He puffed up a little but he was a good little patient.

That's odd that he won't dig anymore. I'm not sure what the reason would be, but is the dirt loose enough? Sometimes the substrate in Grif's tank gets compacted from spraying and he has trouble digging. I just loosen it up with my fingers a little and he digs away.

I will try to fluff it up some more, I read somewhere that it should be packed down so I was trying it. I'm also going to move the heat mat to the side of the tank because its not doing great on the bottom, also might get a CHE. (returned the blue bulb b/c it didnt get hot lol)

That's probably a good idea. By the way does your frog talk to you when you talk to him? Grif will make little popping noises with his throat when I talk to him or hold him. Its cute and I haven't read anything that talks about them making other noises besides croaking and a peep noise.
