I leave for vacation in 2 weeks, and I want to get prepared. I'm confident that my gray tree frogs will do just fine...I have a filtered waterfall system in their tank, I will feed them separately before I leave to make sure they all get a good meal, and then I will put a bunch of extra crickets in there along with an orange cube, vs the orange slices I normally use (which will not last a week)
I am going to leave the light off, but leave the curtains open in one window of the room to give them daylight.
My friend cultures pill bugs for occasional feeding of his frogs, he told me to put a few in there, the tree frogs wont eat them right away, but if they get hungry later in the week, they'll munch them down. I know that pill bugs aren't good as a solid part of their diet, but is it okay for this?
Now for the toadlet...I'm thinking I'm going to have to have my friend take his tank for the week, I don't know if he'll be willing to do that, but I don't think the toadlet will do well for a week alone. The other thing that I was thinking, is to put a fruit fly culture tube (like petsmart sells) directly in the substrate, it should produce for the week, my worry is a water source and not being able to dust the fruit flies for a whole week.
Thoughts?

Your Red Eyes should be fine with the crickets and water source alone. I would guess your frogs eat an average of 2 to 3 crickets a night and skip some nights even when more are offered.
So just provide enough for them for the week, they will hunt them down.
I wouldn't do the pill bugs myself.
As for the toad, I'm no help there since I never kept them.

Thanks Don. They do eat 2-3 a night, normally I don't skip a night except when I'm gone. I have NEVER found a dead cricket in my viv yet though! So I know they hunt them down pretty good! I'll skip the pill bugs then, I was paranoid about that myself since I know they can cause the same impaction hazard as meal worms.

Not dusting the flies for one week should not be a issue. Specially if you have been doing so on a regular basis. They won't suffer any ill effects for such a short period of time.

I may or may not know what I'm talking about!
Thanks guys, I'm such a panicked new mommy!! I'm afraid if I don't get this all settled, I wont even enjoy vacation. I have such a difficult time worrying about them and waiting to go home when we go camping for 3 days.

I have to ditto on Mikes comments. A week without supplements is not going to have an ill effect on your loved ones.
Just leave good instructions with your friend on the toad watching.
