I leave for vacation in 2 weeks, and I want to get prepared. I'm confident that my gray tree frogs will do just fine...I have a filtered waterfall system in their tank, I will feed them separately before I leave to make sure they all get a good meal, and then I will put a bunch of extra crickets in there along with an orange cube, vs the orange slices I normally use (which will not last a week)
I am going to leave the light off, but leave the curtains open in one window of the room to give them daylight.
My friend cultures pill bugs for occasional feeding of his frogs, he told me to put a few in there, the tree frogs wont eat them right away, but if they get hungry later in the week, they'll munch them down. I know that pill bugs aren't good as a solid part of their diet, but is it okay for this?
Now for the toadlet...I'm thinking I'm going to have to have my friend take his tank for the week, I don't know if he'll be willing to do that, but I don't think the toadlet will do well for a week alone. The other thing that I was thinking, is to put a fruit fly culture tube (like petsmart sells) directly in the substrate, it should produce for the week, my worry is a water source and not being able to dust the fruit flies for a whole week.
Thoughts?
