So, I got some wonderful advice on a different thread to spray my crickets with an appetite enhancer in order to get my male gray tree frog to eat. Today was his 5th day with nothing and I was getting frustrated. I didn't have time to run to the store and look for the appetite enhancer and didn't want to wait for it to ship. So I boiled a freshly chopped clove of garlic in a small dish of water. When the kitchen was thoroughly stinky, I let it cool. Then I dipped for small crickets in and dropped them in a kritter keeper.
I put Leggy in there and covered it with a blanket to try not to stress him out. I checked back 10 minutes later and two crickets were gone!! I was thrilled that it worked
Anyways, so I intend to use this technique over the next few weeks at least to get him over the stress of moving vivs.
Could I mix some minced garlic in with my gutload and have the same effect do you think? Would they even eat it?
