    Default Froggie Newbie

Here's a little about me. I'm a life-timer of loving all creatures. Since I was 12 I saved all my babysitting money to raise animals. Currently I have a 7 year old French Bulldog until a couple weeks ago here in Northern China, where I live, I saw a little froggie hopping through a beer garden. For you fellow Cancuks out there you know what I mean by a beer garden.

All my life I have had every kind of pet and have always been a member of a forum to learn the best care for that pet. Since being in China I've rescued many animals from poopie people and found places to release them or home them. This little froggie which I named Toadie, seconds after i grabbed him, I just haven't released yet. The problem here is that Chinese people are too 'curious' let's call it. They want to catch and keep any little bit of nature they ever see. I couldn't release Toadie by the river near the beer gardens because there is no grass or scrubs or anything. It's just a cement wall to the river. I have no idea in a million years how he possible survived to adulthood or even hopping through the paths and walkways and street to make it in the middle of a crowded beer garden. If anyone knows anything about Harbin China you'd know that Harbin is the 3rd largest consumers of beer in the world per ca-pita. I love Harbin.

Now I have my little Toadie and I need you all to tell me how to care for him best.

Currently I have him in a fairly large Rubbermaid container with a ceramic dish as a dock. I have meal worms to feed him. I now know how starving he was cause he was so skinny like a little froggie at first now he's quite chubby. This was starting to make me wonder if he was a toad. Please tell me anything you know about this frog and help me help him.

    Gloria

A picture or two would really help with the ID.

What a great rescue! A picture would be very helpful in helping to identify, I did a little googling but haven't found a good site for simple frog identification from china.
